As Dogeared’s Founder, Owner and Creative Force, Marcia (or as we call her, MMC) fills her life with good things that keep her inspired. From the angel cards that she never lets out of her sight, to her go-to chardonnay, to her vegan-friendly local farmer’s market, MMC’s passions rooted in spirituality, her community, and healthy lifestyle have all helped define the Dogeared that goes beyond the jewelry. Here’s what she’s coveting this season…
The idea of togetherness and family ties together everything we do at Dogeared. From our collections to the meaning behind each piece, to relationships and our commitment to the environment and communities – all are established with the core intent of connection and being a part of something greater.
Seeking harmony amongst all the complicated aspects of life is a universal desire that we all seem to strive for. We sat down with Marcia to try and gain some insight as to how this mom, wife, business owner & philanthropist maintains balance in her own life. “It’s about continuing to move forward,” she explains.
From the start, Marcia Maizel-Clarke, Dogeared’s Founder, Owner & all around Creative Force was intuitively capturing special moments and turning them into something more. Although it wasn’t a clear path to creating Dogeared, moments of her childhood forged a powerful idea of connection and it was something that would stick with her.
Dogeared Founder Marcia Maizel-Clarke cleaned out her closet for a cause donating a covetable collection of designer duds to Fashion Project. This amazing retailer uses fashion as a force for good making giving back glamorous. Marcia’s swoon-worthy selection includes styles from Vince, Rebecca Taylor, Diane Von Furstenberg and, of course, Dogeared… and all profits go to One Voice, a Los Angeles nonprofit she is so passionate about and been working with for over 20 years.
