Set the season with light necklace layers and sentimental moments. Prosecco + Plaid shares her what she’s most looking forward to during the holidays and her favorite gifts.
Absolutely loving your fall style! Can you tell us about the dogeared pieces you’ll be adding into your looks this season and why you love them?
I love fall and winter but I am always dreaming of summer. Layering the “Take Me to the Ocean Mermaid” Necklace with the “Gem Triple Turquoise” Necklace and “Light as a feather” Necklace feels bohemian and delicate and reminds me of warm summer days at the beach. I love to pile on rings too. Stacking up lots of gold rings and mixing them in with my own vintage pieces is my go-to everyday style. I don’t like to feel weighed down by my jewelry and I love how light Dogeared pieces feel when you wear them. You don’t even feel like you’re wearing anything.
What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?
I love spending time with family and eating tons of good food. I come from a huge family so it’s fun to have everyone together for the holidays. Thanksgiving is my favorite because it’s all about the food, and I love it all, mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing, pie, it’s making me hungry just thinking about it.
Let’s talk gifts! What’s the best gift you think you’ve given? Received?
I don’t know if I have a “best’ gift but I know my favorite gifts to give are ones that are special or sentimental. I tend to think about and buy gifts year round for people, whenever I’m traveling or just see something really cool and it reminds me of someone I’ll get it and save it for the holidays. The best gift I’ve ever received is the amethyst ring my Great Aunt gave me for my 21st birthday. It was a gift to her from my grandparents and she handed it down to me. I wear it everyday.
How do you add heart to your holidays? What are your uniquely-you holiday traditions?
My favorite holiday tradition is going for a long family walk (no matter the weather) Christmas morning with my dog Nora and my Dad’s dog Ziggy. It’s a moment to spend quality time together, pause, be thankful, and take in the beautiful outdoors.
